Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about The Studio.

Privacy and your data

Will someone at Wade Institute read my session?

Your report is visible to Wade Institute. Your session transcript and anything you upload are not. When you generate a report, that report is shared with Wade Institute so the team can understand what The Studio is producing and improve it over time. The raw conversation you have with WAiDE — every message, every iteration — stays private, and any documents, screenshots, or files you upload during a session are used only to coach you and are never reviewed by Wade staff.

Could my idea get stolen?

You retain full ownership of everything you share. Wade Institute does not claim any rights over your ideas, strategies, or business plans. Reports are used by Wade staff to improve The Studio and inform programs — never to develop competing products or identify you publicly. Session transcripts and uploaded documents are never shared with third parties. See our Terms of Use (Section 4) for the full commitment.

Does the AI learn from my session?

No. The Studio uses Anthropic's Claude API, which does not use your conversations to train its models. Your session is processed to generate WAiDE's responses and your report, then it is not retained by Anthropic for training purposes. This is explicit in Anthropic's privacy policy.

What exactly does Wade Institute see?

The report you generate — headline, insights, actions, and the structured outputs you produced. That's it. Wade Institute does not see: the back-and-forth conversation you had with WAiDE, any documents or images you uploaded, or the in-session board cards before you commit to a report. The report is the polished output; everything upstream of it stays with you.

Does Wade Institute learn anything from sessions?

Wade Institute reviews reports to understand what The Studio is producing, spot patterns across users, and improve the tool. We also extract anonymised tags (industry, challenge category, venture stage, sentiment) to inform program development — "many users are working through AI adoption challenges", for example. Individual conversations and uploads are never reviewed for this analysis.

Where is my data stored?

Session data is stored in a secure PostgreSQL database hosted on Railway (cloud infrastructure). Your conversations pass through Anthropic's API servers for AI processing. Both services are hosted in the United States. This is standard for modern web applications, but it means your data is subject to US infrastructure. See our Privacy Policy for full details on cross-border data transfers.

What happens if I share my report?

When you create a shareable report link, anyone with that URL can view it. There is no password protection on shared links. Share your report link carefully — treat it like sharing a document via a public link.

Can I delete my data?

Yes. You can request deletion of all your data at any time by contacting enquiries@wadeinstitute.org.au. If you have an account, you can also use the self-service deletion link included in any email we send you. We will respond within 30 days.

What if I don't provide my email?

You can use The Studio without providing any personal information. If you don't enter your email, your session is tied only to an anonymous device identifier stored in your browser. We can't link it to you, and it will eventually expire.

About The Studio

What is The Studio?

The Studio is an AI-powered innovation workshop built by Wade Institute of Entrepreneurship. You bring a real business challenge, and WAiDE — your AI thinking partner — guides you through a proven framework in 15–30 minutes. You leave with a structured insights report you can share with your team.

Who is WAiDE?

WAiDE is the AI workshop facilitator inside The Studio. He's built to think like a seasoned startup mentor — he listens, spots patterns, pushes back when needed, and helps you get unstuck. WAiDE is powered by Anthropic's Claude, trained on Wade Institute's innovation frameworks.

Is it really free?

Yes. The Studio is currently free to use and in beta. Wade Institute built it as a resource for founders, innovators, and anyone working through a business challenge.

How long does a session take?

Most sessions take 15–30 minutes. Some exercises can be completed in 10 minutes; deeper explorations might take longer. You can pause and return — your session is saved automatically if you're signed in.

What kind of challenges can I bring?

Anything related to building, growing, or leading something. Common challenges include:

What do I get at the end?

An insights report summarising your session — including key findings, decisions, and recommended next steps. You can download it, share it with your team via a link, or receive it by email. The report also includes relevant Wade Institute programs and community members who could help.

Tools and frameworks

What are the tools?

The Studio offers 20+ structured innovation frameworks across four stages:

Do I need to choose a tool?

No. Just describe your challenge and WAiDE will recommend the right tool for your situation. You can also browse the Toolbox if you want to explore what's available.

Can I switch tools mid-session?

Yes. If WAiDE notices you'd benefit from a different approach, he'll suggest switching. You can also ask to change tools at any point.

Accounts and sessions

Do I need an account?

No. You can use The Studio without signing up. Creating an account lets you save sessions, resume where you left off, and access your history across devices.

Can I come back to a session later?

If you're signed in, your session is saved automatically. You can return and pick up where you left off. If you're not signed in, you can use a magic link (sent to your email) to recover your session.

Wade Institute
