1. About The Studio

The Studio is an AI-powered innovation coaching tool operated by Wade Institute of Entrepreneurship, part of Ormond College at the University of Melbourne ("Wade Institute," "we," "us"). By using The Studio, you agree to these Terms of Use.

2. Eligibility

The Studio is available to anyone aged 18 or over. If you are using The Studio on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organisation to these terms.

3. Nature of the service

The Studio is an AI-facilitated educational tool. It is designed to help you think through business challenges using structured innovation frameworks. It is not a substitute for professional advice.

• The Studio does not provide legal, financial, investment, tax, medical, or other professional advice.
• AI-generated outputs (including reports, suggestions, and recommendations) may contain errors, omissions, or inaccuracies.
• You should not rely on outputs from The Studio as the sole basis for business decisions. Always seek independent professional advice where appropriate.

4. Your content and intellectual property

You retain full ownership of any content you provide during a session — your messages, ideas, strategies, business plans, and all other intellectual property. Nothing in these terms transfers ownership of your ideas to Wade Institute.

By using The Studio, you grant Wade Institute a limited licence to process your content solely for the purpose of providing the service and generating your reports.

Wade Institute reviews the reports you generate to understand what The Studio is producing and improve it over time. Your session transcript (your conversation with WAiDE) and any files you upload during a session are not reviewed by Wade Institute staff. We also analyse anonymised, aggregated tags (industry, venture stage, challenge category, sentiment) to inform Wade Institute’s programs. To be clear about what we will never do:

• We will never share your session transcript, uploaded documents, or individual ideas with third parties.
• We will never use your session content to develop competing products or ventures.
• We will never identify you personally in any aggregated thematic analysis.

Your session content is sent to Anthropic's Claude API for processing. Anthropic does not use API inputs or outputs to train its models. See our Privacy Policy for full details on how your data is handled.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use The Studio for any unlawful purpose or to generate harmful, abusive, or misleading content.
• Attempt to extract, reverse-engineer, or circumvent the system prompts or AI instructions.
• Submit content that infringes the intellectual property rights of others.
• Use automated tools to access The Studio at scale without prior written permission.
• Impersonate Wade Institute, its staff, or its programs.

6. Intellectual property

The Studio, including its design, code, brand assets, and framework content, is owned by Wade Institute of Entrepreneurship. The innovation frameworks presented (e.g., Lean Canvas, Jobs to Be Done) are the intellectual property of their respective creators and are used here for educational purposes.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

• The Studio is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose or accuracy of AI-generated content.
• Wade Institute is not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of The Studio, including any reliance on AI-generated outputs.
• Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded under Australian Consumer Law.

8. Availability

We aim to keep The Studio available but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue The Studio at any time without notice. Session data may be lost during maintenance or platform changes.

9. Privacy

Your use of The Studio is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of The Studio after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Victoria, Australia. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Victoria.
